Beyond This Head

In dreams of little pink houses,
all in a row,
i tilt my head toward green planets.
i smile wide, broad, deeply from my innards.

i notice stars beyond my soul
they are a part of my most atomic pieces.
i find the sun shines in the night
on planets we don't understand.

And the mysts of Thee Universe float un-named
yet still vitally meshed into the being'ness of everything
that is seen
and unseen.

All these things don't necessarily know who you are,
but even though,
You Matter,
even if you don't believe you do.
It just doesn't matter what you believe.

Because Thee God of You believes for you and in you,
and frankly,
Knows.....It Knows.

So don't worry your pretty self about it,
because you'll never figure it out anyway.
It's hard enough just trying to figure out what to eat for dinner.
What are you having?

You have no power here, be gone before I drop a house on you!

Look at how peaceful I was....
Sacred Priestess....
only yesterday.

And then.....................

Deep breath. You know, I get really tired of people trying to disturb my bliss.

Situations happen, that's life.

But people......they intentionally crawl out of the muck, where they live, come to my place where they know they are not invited, and start trying to screw around with me.

Trouble for them is that I don't eat poopie, not even close. And I am really proud of that. Not everyone has the courage to confront people who are destructive to them. I happen to be able to do so.

I mean come on, when you know someone has intentionally ended their relationship with you because you are a liar, a manipulator, a game player, and just an overall nut-ball.....and you show up to their online space and then email them about stuff you've seen on said online space???......yeah, that's intentional.

Well guess what? Challenge Accepted.

I know I'm highly entertaining, beautiful, intelligent, talented, but don't you have anything better to do with your life???? Why don't you spend all the time and energy you spend on me on something more productive because the fact is that continuing to act the way that you do isn't going to change a darn thing and in fact, as I told the tick, you are only further damaging any truly remote chances for the future. I believe though that is your true intention.....DAMAGE and as much of it as you can create. I choose to create art, you choose damage. I cannot respect that at all.

I would never have a relationship with someone like you, no matter how many things you may find that we have in common. Gee, if you like chocolate like me, we could be best friends even though you are completely untrustworthy.

So like Thee Tick and Thee Fly before you, I'll say the same thing to you: SHOO!! Go away. The rest of us are enjoying ourselves and being positively Pro-ductive, not De-structive.

I won't be this nice again.

Man, they just can't stay away from me!!!! Kinda makes me giggle!

Let's be honest, there are battles to be fought in life. We can't turtle (no offense meant turtle) or hide our heads in the sand pretending it's not true (especially not this, your butt is totally exposed for someone to come along and kick!). Battle isn't something that I go looking for.....you won't see me going to their online spaces (I don't even know if they have any).....but when someone brings it to me, I am willing and able to defend my territory. You can call me a lot of things, but coward is not one of them.

Just because I have a blog online, which is free for almost anyone to look at, does not give someone whom I have extricated from my life the right to look. If I don't speak to you anymore, don't come to my blog! It's real easy people. I know, I know, without me, your life is boring and without meaning. If you're not spying on me, talking about me, thinking about me.....what else is there? Fear not, you'll create more drama for yourself. You always do.

And I will still be here, minding my own business, like I always do.

Deep breath again.....it's kinda good, I didn't know what I was going to write today. So, now back to being Thee Queen of my mountain.

Don't let them mind-benders out there bend your mind. Know who you are. Be confident in that. Know who they are. Don't forget that snakes can and will bite you even if you are really, really nice to them. It is in their nature and they don't know any better. Know what you are willing to do to create a beautiful life for yourself. And lastly, know what you are willing to do to defend it.

In the Chamber of Interim

I was wakeful all night

when modesty & calmness & easterly gales

smelled the freshness of Thee Earth

bathed themselves in dew

So, I listened to the nightingales straighten their nests

their words told things to my heart

You are the honeysuckle which wafts sweetly on the air

Lean down

kiss your own soul

draw your~self out

and go into the fields where
You
& your art
frolic under the indigo night sky.

Bird Watching

When your camera starts doing stuff like this

and this

it's time to get a new one.

In the meantime, I've been taking pictures with the video camera, mostly of the birds who always seemed to be seeing me, see them. And thanks to my friend Sandy, I now have a bird book so I know who they are....mostly.

(Robin)

(Gray Catbird)

(White-Throated Sparrow)

(Blue Jay)

(female Cardinal)

During the fall and winter there was a small flock of bluebirds eating seeds from this tree.

(the red one is a House Finch
and the other two are American Goldfinches
- the male is the brighter yellow)

On this particular day, I counted 15 Goldfinches! That's a record for us. Every year more and more birds come, different kinds and more of each kind we already have.

The other day I caught a brief view of an Indigo Bunting. What a beautiful bird! Bright, electric blue against black.

In January, I saw something really rare - two Pileated Woodpeckers. They're huge! I thought I was recording, but apparently I never hit the record button. Grrrrr! Fortunately, I did accidentally snap one picture though.

We also had a Hawk of some kind hanging around. I was washing my hands and happened to see it sitting right out front searching for a meal.

This bird used to show up every day and sing outside my studio window. I can't seem to identify it though. Anyone know? (click the picture to make it bigger)

We also have lots of furry little nibblers.

I adore the chipmunks. Now that the cats are gone, the chipmunks have a chance of not being a cat-snack. I saw this one gathering food in the front yard.

And then there was this.....sitting in the corner of the laundry room. Gives me the heebee-geebies just looking at it again. This morning I checked my shoes before I put them on.

We explained to it that we were going to catch and release it outside. Thankfully it cooperated.

We're so good to the bugs.....we always catch them and put them back outside. We have a hard time killing them. Even if they're little and annoying or big scary, still doesn't give us the right to take their life. There are always exceptions to the rule though. When we do have to kill something (ants, ticks, etc.), we always say, "Sorry." Maybe we're weird. If so, I don't want to be "normal."

I haven't been arting much. Been feeling really blissfully domestic. Doing some gardening, cleaning, eating lots of fruit.

But I have some fun plans for the very near future........
